CommentsSchuiten has chosen to represent a series of four allegories on the theme of hope for a better world through music. This allegory, represented by a musical note, evolves into a figure suggesting the Brussels City Hall, which in turn is transformed into a figure evoking the logo star of the World Fair held in Brussels in 1958. This year is the year of the creation of the Choirs, one year after the signing of the Treaty of Rome. Finally, the series of allegories rises to join the stars of the European flag.
