Forgotten of Blossfeldtstad (The)

The Forgotten of Blossfeldtstad or Karl and Emmeline Nierendorf, who were the only ones bypassed by the wave of reconstruction that swept their city. The event inspired a naive - and somewhat inaccurate - painting that nevertheless became very popular.

The painting was rediscovered in 2020 and attributed to Augustin Desombres.
