Prix Victor Rossel (Le)
The Victor Rossel prize has crowned, since 2021, the best talents in comics, a form of graphic literature that has become inseparable from Belgian culture. In 2023, the jury of the Académie Victor Rossel de bande dessinée has awarded the Grand Prix de la BD to François Schuiten for his entire career 1).
The world-renowned author of the cult “Cités obscures”, is now honored in his own country. The multifaceted work of this architect of the line and worker of the brush had recently given birth to Jim, a graphic novel bristling with emotion and poetry in memory of his dog. Jim was also shortlisted for the Prix Victor Rossel de la bande dessinée 2023.
