Delacroix, Eugène

Eugène Delacroix is a French painter, born in Saint-Maurice (Seine) (1798-1863 AD). A powerful Colourist and daring innovator, he was the leader of the Romantic School. He is the author of vast murals in Paris (ceiling of the Louvre Apollon gallery; Salon of the King and the library, in the Chamber of Deputies; the Saints-Anges chapel, in the Saint-Sulpice church).
