Trombinoscope

Trombinoscope is a device invented by Professor Tossit. The name is based on trombine, a French slang word to describe a person's face; the closest English equivalent would be “mug”. The only known model is used by Lumière sur les Cités to display the portraits of its citizen members. The details of its inner works are very mysterious, but seem to involve an infra-grey diffractor equiped with a platinum-coated triode, as well as a suprasulfurated poly-EPROM.
