Reviews Hergé, son of Tintin

In the slipstream of the Tintin movie the biography of Tintins creator Hergé, written by Benoît Peeters is translated in English. Benoît Peeters knew Hergé and interviewed him on several occasions toward the end of his life. (He died in 1983.) Peeters also interviewed many of Hergé’s friends and associates, and both of his wives. At one point, Peeters was allowed to explore the drawers and filing cabinets at Hergé Studios, in Brussels.

A review of the English translation of the biography was published in the New York Times and the Washington Post.

A Q&A about Hergé with Benoît Peeters is published by JHU Press blog.
