Les Mardis de l'Espace des sciences

François Schuiten was invited at “Les Mardis de l'Espace des sciences” 1) to talk about the railways on April 5, 2017. Since its invention, the train has profoundly modified our landscapes, our lifestyles, our cities, and this revolution is now entering a new phase with the development of very high speed. François Schuiten invites us to a journey through time. As an artist, he portrays this history of the railway, without omitting the dark pages. Between photographs and drawings, a route along the railway.

François was accompanied by his dog Jim. The event was translated in sign language. Afterwards there was a possibility to meet Schuiten and get your books signed.

Images by Espace des sciences 2) and Mathilde Sibellas 3)

The event was streamed live.
