Bozar 2018

On October 23, 2018 Jean-Philippe Toussaint was the guest of BOZAR for a dialogue with the French writer and screenwriter Benoît Peeters. Together they spoke about Asia, a continent that has played a key role in Toussaint's work since his novel Making Love, published in 2002. His latest book bears the evocative title of Made in China (2017) and takes place largely in this country. Toussaint's books have been translated into some 20 languages and have already been awarded the Prix Médicis (2005) and the Prix Décembre (2009). In addition to writing, he is also devoted to film and photography, and has already exhibited in Brussels, Paris and Japan.
