Perzel, Jean

Jean Perzel born on May 2, 1892 in Bruck (Germany) and died in Paris on October 26, 1986, was a master glassmaker and a pioneer of lighting in France in the 1920s.

Celebrating modernity and innovation, he worked with the great names of Art Deco and modernist architecture: Robert Mallet-Stevens, Michel Roux-Spitz, Le Corbusier, Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann but also for monuments such as the Palais de la Société des Nations in Geneva, the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Luxembourg and the Normandie liner 1).
