L'

For those unfamiliar with the French language, L' stands for Le (masc.) or La (fem.) in front of words starting with a vowel. The plural form is Les in all cases. The meaning is the same as the English “The”, but it is used more liberally by francophones. Following usual dictionary convention, preceding articles are generally omitted from titles for indexing purposes.
