Kepler, Johannes

Johannes Kepler is a German astronomer born near Weil (Wurtemberg) (1571-1630 AD). He discovered several of the essential principles of planetary orbits, and his work was the basis on which Isaac Newton built his theory of universal gravitation. He is revered in the Obscure World 1).
