Arche (L')

L'Arche is a fresco made by François Schuiten and Alexandre Obolensky in corporation with Library Brüsel Flagey at the corner chaussée d'Ixelles and rue Maes in Brussels 1) and is part of the borough's Herteken Elsene/Redessine Ixelles project 2). The corner is decorated with the bow of an enormous packet boat. Ixelles, Atrium and Brussels Capital are partners of this event.

Opening

L'Arche was planned to be first shown at April 12, 2013 during the Festival Babel 2013 but was postponed due to bad weather. The new opening took place on Friday June 21, 2013: at 6pm on 212 chaussée d’ixelles, followed by a drink at the librairie Brüsel Flagey.

Estampe

Brüsel Flagey is going to sell, for the occasion, an ‘estampe’, signed by François Schuiten and printed at 99 copies.

It is accompanied by a certificate which shows the first step in the l'Arche sketch printed on recycled paper Canson CAD 90 grams.
