François Schuiten working on Revoir Paris T2

The event most fans look forward to in 2016 is the publication of the second and final episode of Revoir Paris. Due to the many 2015 activities the publication is delayed to October 2016. Casterman will publish the second album. There will also a special edition with the whole story. This album will be in a horizontal large format (same as « La Théorie » volume 1 and 2).

Publisher Atlantic 12 announced that on the occasion of the BRAFA 2016 which will take place in Tour & Taxis in Brussels from 23 to 31 January, two new reproductions of drawings by François Schuiten around the Type 12 and a sculpture of bronze casting locomotive will be on display on the stand the Gallery Huberty & Breyne. A screen printing, 'Au repos' (80×60), printed in 200 copies and a pigment ink, 'Au repos' (100×70), led to 30 copies are being printed. As for the bronze sculpture (23x43x10cm), it was designed by François Schuiten but manufactured by the cabinetmaker Karl Theiss. Both have already collaborated several times in the past in making various objects related to the world of the Obscure Cities.

Comic shop Brüsel in Brussels will publish early 2016 a deluxe edition of the album Brüsel. The album will have an exclusive cover. Dolorès, the 90-minute feature film produced by Schwabenlandfilm and based on the graphic novel Dolorès will be broadcasted in autumn 2016 on SWR television.

In 2016 we will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of this website. It all started end of 1995 with the first story of Joseph le Perdriel. A few years later this story became the ebbs.net website where all kind of content related to the Obscure Cities was published. In 2011 all this content was turned into the altaplana.be website. So in 2016 we also celebrate the 5th birthday of altaplana.be.

It looks like it will be again an exciting year!
