Ombre D'un Homme (L')

[The Shadow of a Man] Eleventh volume of the Chronicles of the Obscure Cities. Published on March 10th, 1999, but the work in progress was available for months as webisodes on the Obscure Cities Internet site. Four thousand of the albums came with a CD-ROM 1. Check also the Esquisses port-folio.

  • 1999, First Dutch edition “De Schaduw van een Man” by Casterman
  • 2009, Enhanced French edition by Casterman. Some pages are added and some others are removed. The final pages are completely rewritten. (new: page 24, 84-87 & 93-96. Removed: pages 49, 79, 84, 86 and 87)

Story

Albert Chamisso is only a few weeks married to Sarah when he gets nightmares. Dr. Polydore Vincent helps him to get rid of the nightmares, but his shadow is in color afterwards. He is struggling with this. He loses his wife and his job. He lives for some time in the outskirts of Blossfeldtstad until he gets in contact with Minna. Together they start a light show that becomes very popular.
